Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) Entrance Exam Coaching Center Institute In Delhi

Government is conducting CTET exam for effective implementation of RTE (Right To Education) and to maintain quality in teaching as per NCTE guidelines. CTET is required for Teachers (Primary or Elementary level) in all schools of Central Government like Kendriya Vidyalaya (KVS) (Central Schools) , Navodaya Vidyalaya, Tibetan Schools etc. and schools of Union Territories like Chandigarh and Andaman & Nicobar Islands etc. This may be extended or adopted by private schools for teacher recruitment. The responsibility of this examination is given the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE).

The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), Delhi will be conducting the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET) for a person to be eligible for appointment as a teacher for classes I to VIII. Candidates can apply On-line for CTET on CBSE/ CTET website.

Eligibility and Qualifications for Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET):

Candidates should have following qualifications as prescribed by the NCTE. The State governments may change the qualifications and eligibility requirements as per the GOs issued by them.

1. Central TET (CTET) Qualification Teachers of Classes I-V (Paper I):

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known) OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure), Regulations, 2002. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 2- year Diploma in Education (Special Education)*. OR Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of two year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

2. Central TET (CTET) Qualification Teachers of Classes VI-VIII (Paper II):

Graduation and passed or appearing in final year of 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known). OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed). OR Graduation with at least 45% marks and passed or appearing in 1- year Bachelor in Education (B.Ed), in accordance with the NCTE (Recognition Norms and Procedure) Regulations issued from time to time in this regard. OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year Bachelor in Elementary Education (B.El.Ed). OR Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in final year of 4- year B.A/B.Sc.Ed or B.A.Ed/B.Sc.Ed. OR Graduation with at least 50% marks and passed or appearing in 1-year B.Ed. (Special Education)*.

Central TET (CTET) Exam pattern, Syllabus and Scheme:

CTET Syllabus consists of two objective type question papers. Each paper will consist of 150 MCQs and each question carries 1 marks totaling for 150 marks. Following are the details of question papers:
  • Paper I Syllabus: To become teachers for classes I-V in CBSE primary school.
  • Paper II Syllabus: To become teachers for classes between VI and VIII in CBSE upper primary school.
  • Paper I and II: For those candidates who interested in teaching from Class I to VIII. They can appear for both the papers and have to get qualifying marks to be considered for all the classes.
